Detailing Tip Brochures
Wash your boat frequently with a wash specifically formulated for the gel coat. Regular household detergents, if used, will strip your wax protection and accelerate oxidation!

TIPS

Washing the hull is best done by working one section at a time with clear water. When possible, cool your boat in the shade beforehand. Don't use overly hard water and don't allow water to dry itself on the boat. These simple precautions will help prevent water spotting and etching.

Etching occurs when beads of water act as magnifying glasses, intensifying the sun's strength, thereby etching the surface. Once etching has occurred, it is necessary to use a cleaner to remove them.
